EXPLORE YOUR CONTROLLER

More than a button check.

DualSense Studio is an interactive PS5 controller tester and playground in your browser. Explore the 3D model, or connect your DualSense over USB or Bluetooth to see your real inputs come to life.

Check stick drift, buttons & triggers

Open Controller diagnostics, release both sticks, and measure their resting positions for two seconds. Inspect the input your browser receives, test L2 and R2 pressure, and check button presses. This helps you spot drift; it does not repair or recalibrate hardware.

Practice your aim

Connect a controller for a 20-second target practice round. Aim with the right stick or enable gyro aiming, choose a weapon, and track your accuracy. Submit your score to compare your best round on the leaderboard.

Turn your touchpad into a canvas

Slide a finger across your connected DualSense touchpad to draw glowing trails, choose a color, and save your creation as an image. Touchpad tracking can follow your fingers without pressing the pad.

Feel it. Move it. Make it yours.

Try adaptive trigger effects, customize a preset and share its link. Use gyro motion to rotate the 3D controller, change the virtual shell color, or sync the light around your physical controller’s touchpad.

How do I connect my PS5 controller?

Plug your DualSense into your computer with a USB data cable, or pair it using your computer’s Bluetooth settings. Open DualSense Studio and press a controller button. For gyro, touchpad tracking, battery readings, lights, and adaptive triggers, use desktop Chrome or Edge and select your controller when the browser asks for access.

Does this fix stick drift?

No. Controller diagnostics shows stick movement and measures the resting offset reported by your browser, without adding a deadzone. It can help you check for drift, but it cannot repair worn components or change how your controller behaves on a PS5 or in other games.

Why do buttons work but battery or gyro needs permission?

Basic buttons and sticks can work through the browser’s gamepad support. Battery status, gyro and other DualSense features need separate device access. Click the relevant feature and select your controller to grant that access. Permissions are specific to the browser and website you use.

Can I try it without a controller?

Yes. Rotate the virtual controller, click its buttons, drag its sticks, and change its appearance. Open Controls for keyboard shortcuts. Target practice requires a connected controller, and physical features such as adaptive triggers and gyro require a DualSense.

Does it work on mobile or every browser?

You can explore the 3D model in a browser with JavaScript and WebGL support. Physical controller support varies by device and browser. Desktop Chrome or Edge is recommended for the full set of DualSense features; a USB data cable is the simplest way to start.

Is DualSense Studio an official PlayStation tool?

No. DualSense Studio is an independent project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Sony or PlayStation. The 3D model is credited below.

Pressure and feedback

Hold L2 or R2 and drag upward to vary its pressure. Your connected gamepad can also drive the display.

Pressed buttons glow soft yellow; triggers also show their pressure.

Camera controls

Auto follows the controls you use: triggers show the rear, shoulder buttons show the top, and face buttons show the front.

Dragging the shell or selecting Front, Angle, or Back pauses Auto; choose Auto to resume.

Touchpad

Enable touchpad to follow one or two fingers on the physical pad without clicking, or drag the on-screen pad to see the circle. No vibration is added.

Trigger effects

To feel real trigger resistance, connect a DualSense and choose Enable trigger effects. Select your controller in the browser prompt, then squeeze L2 or R2.

Pistol has a crisp break; Shotgun has a heavier, longer pull. Let go to rearm either one. LMG gives strong repeated pulses while held down; SMG gives faster, lighter pulses. Resistance applies a steady force.

Desktop Chrome or Edge is required; try a USB data cable if Bluetooth is unavailable. Off, Reset, and leaving the tab release the effect.

Microphone

Microphone control remains a visual simulation.
